Sermon Notes:-
Hallelujah. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matt 6:33). The word 'seek' connotes a desperate search for kingdom matters. My location determines my allocation, and every kingdom has its definite culture.
Jesus tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. How do we do this and what does the culture of Heaven look like in our daily life?
1. Read the Instruction Manual (Psalm 1:2)
"But his delight is in the law of the Lord: and in his law doth he meditate day and night." The Bible is the instruction manual for Kingdom living. The Word of God renews the mind and transforms the heart into the patterns and ways of God.
2. Maintain An Awareness of Your Need (Matthew 5:3)
"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Being 'poor in spirit' doesnt mean to be impoverished. It means living in constant awareness of our need for the rich sustainability of God. This awareness produces humility and protects us from pride.
3. Examine The Treasures Stored in the Heart (Matthew 6:21)
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Do a quick heart examination. Keep God first in your life and everything else will resume order.
4. Spirit Led Decision-Making (Romans 14:17)
"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink: but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." Allowing the Holy Spirit to guide your life enables you to live on earth as it is in Heaven.
5. Receive The Kingdom As A Child (Luke 18:16)
"But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." God wants us to depend on His provision just as children rely on their parents.
6. Love with Heart, Understanding & Strength (Mark 12:33-34)
The highest call is to love God with all our heart, understanding, and strength. This multi-layer command speaks to every part of human lifemind, body, and soul.
Finally beloved, the safest kingdom is God's kingdom. Get it and sell it not. Be still. Forever, thy word is settled in heaven (Psalms 119:89). Jesus never fails. Remain lifted.
