Sermon Notes:-
Hallelujah. How then can we press into this undeniable tool for peace on all sides? "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom" (Col 3:16). What you don't have doesn't add to you.
Hear this: The word of God you know doesn't change your experience, but the word of God you believe and practice guarantees an undeniable change of status. To "Know" is to acknowledge an existence, whereas "believe" and "practice" is a lifestyle in knowledge.
"But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves" (James 1:22). A hearer who is not a doer is like a man who sees his face in a glass and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. But a doer of the word shall be blessed in his deeds.
Until a seed dies, it lacks the potency to bring forth much fruit (John 12:24). The seed that dies is the man who has given up his literal and analog experience to embrace divine ruleskingdom principles as a mechanical compass in all matters of life.
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall have good success" (Joshua 1:8).
Finally beloved, accepting Jesus as your Potter is basic; craving to work guiltless makes you a candidate for divine surprises. You are born to be a victor, not a victim. Be still. Forever O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven (Psalms 119:89). Jesus never fails. Remain lifted.
